The Beacon Fundraising Committee recently unveiled an exciting new event scheduled for April. During a general assembly last February 4 at the Beacon Auditorium, Fundraising Head Mrs. Pilar P. Lorenzo and PreK to Grade 1 PYP coordinator Mrs. AJ Buñag presented “Illuminations: An Art Exhibit for a Cause” to an enthusiastic audience of students, faculty, and staff. The call for participation was met with uplifting energy and anticipation for an initiative that inspires creativity, learning, and the culture of giving in Beacon.
This fundraiser is special because it comes amid the celebration of 25 years of the Beacon School. Art is a wonderful way to reflect on the journey that the school has taken over the years, driven in no small part by the steadfast support of the community.
Just as Beacon has served as a light for learning and growth, “Illuminations: An Art Exhibit for a Cause” uses art as a way to celebrate the community’s shared values. Students, parents, alumni, faculty, and staff are all invited to create artworks for the exhibit; in addition, families are encouraged to donate pieces from their personal collection to support the fundraiser. Any contribution would be entirely voluntary and received with sincere appreciation.
The event timeline, participation guidelines, and registration forms for “Illuminations: An Art Exhibit for a Cause” are available with the art faculty and have also been distributed in letters to parents. For any questions, please feel free to reach out to [email protected]. Let’s continue to shape the Beacon legacy together.
